care for your

multi fabric boots

Multi-fabric military boots, crafted to withstand demanding conditions, necessitate attentive shoe care to sustain their functionality and appearance. These boots often combine various materials for enhanced durability and performance, making them versatile companions for outdoor activities and challenging terrains. However, the fusion of fabrics also implies a diversity of maintenance needs. Leather, synthetic textiles, and mesh inserts all demand different treatments to thwart degradation from dirt, moisture, and wear. Neglecting proper care could lead to material deterioration, loss of waterproofing, and compromised comfort.

Our step-by-step guide

Caring for your Multi Fabric boots

Our step-by-step guide for Multi Fabrics will teach you about the Saphir Beauté du Cuir range and help to keep your boots clean and protected.

Step 1

To begin remove the laces from the boots. Pull back the tongue as much as possible to fully open up the boot, allowing better ventilation and access for the cleaning process. Using a Saphir brush, remove as much dirt as possible.

Step 2

Once the boots are clean from dirt, we recommend using Saphir Shampoo. Using a damp cotton cloth, lightly pass over any areas you wish to clean. Shake the aerosol and spray on the desired area working in the foam to remove the remaining dirt. Remove excess foam using a damp cotton cloth. Rinse cloth and repeat if necessary.

If required, brush away excess fibres using a Saphir brush.

Step 3

Next, take a cotton cloth and apply a small amount of Creme Surfine Cream. Massage the polish into the footwear using circular motions. Allow it to dry and then buff with a horsehair brush to desired effect. This will nourish and revive the colour.

Step 4

Take a horsehair brush and apply a small amount of Saphir Pate De Luxe Polish. Work into the footwear using small, circular motions. Paying particular attention to welts and seamed areas.

Step 5

Apply Saphir Ouraline Dubbin to the synthetic fabrics using an applicator brush. Pay particular attention to the welted areas of the boots for maximum protection. Allow the Dubbin to be absorbed into the synthetic fabric for at least 1 hour. Once dry, buff the boots with a Saphir brush.

Step 6

For the final stage of protection we highly recommend using Saphir Nano Protector. From a distance of 25-30cm spray over the entire boot.
