OUR STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE
How to achieve high gloss finish
Our step-by-step guide for smooth leather will teach you about the Saphir Beauté du Cuir range and help to keep your boots clean and protected.
Step 1
First, remove any laces or debris from the footwear. If your footwear has previous layers of polish, you’ll need to remove them using Saphir Reno'Mat. Apply a small amount of Saphir Reno'Mat on a cloth and gently rub it over the footwear to remove the old polish.
Step 2
Next, apply Saphir Crème Surfine, take a Saphir Cloth and apply a small amount of the shoe cream. Using small, circular motions, apply the shoe cream to the footwear, covering the entire surface. Paying particular attention to welted areas and seams.
Leave to dry for 10 minutes.
When dry, polish the footwear with a brush.
Step 3
For this process you will require Saphir Pate de Luxe, a small amount of water and patience!
Take a clean Saphir Cloth and apply a small amount of wax polish and work into the leather using circular motions; applying water when necessary over the areas you wish to provide a high shine (such as the toe cap and heel).
Step 4
Providing a high shine essentially is applying multiple layers of wax. To enhance the shine we recommend also using Saphir Amiral Gloss, this extra step will intensify the mirror shine. Repeat this process 10, 50 or even 100 layers until your desired effect.
